From November 7 to 9, 2026, Annecy will host the fourth edition of B-Only, a conference organized by the AlpineChain association and entirely dedicated to Bitcoin.

For three days, the Novotel Annecy Centre will bring together Bitcoiners, entrepreneurs, developers, creators, ecosystem stakeholders, and the simply curious for a series of talks, workshops, discussions, and informal meetups.

The core ambition remains the same as it has been since B-Only’s inception: to offer a human-scale event where Bitcoin is not just a series of lectures, but a space where meaningful interaction between participants is prioritized.

Three days to explore Bitcoin from every angle

B-Only maintains its exclusive focus on Bitcoin, with a broad and diverse program covering economics and money, sovereignty, technology, privacy, protocols, education, real-world use cases, and the ongoing evolution of Bitcoin.

The format blends talks, workshops, and networking, based on the belief that one learns about Bitcoin just as much by listening as by hands-on experimentation and engaging with those building in the space daily.

Announced speakers and participants include Pierre Noizat, Élodie Lué, Alexandre Stachtchenko, Renaud Lifchitz, ProfEduStream, Aurore Galves Orjol, Nicolas Cantu, Marius Farashi, Laure Merlin, and Lionel Jeannerat.

The program continues to be unveiled, featuring both main stage sessions and more hands-on, practical workshops.

This diversity reflects the spirit B-Only strives to capture: a place to challenge experiences and approaches, from monetary and economic questions to technical issues and the practical application of Bitcoin.

A conference designed for connection

One of the hallmarks of B-Only is its commitment to maintaining a strictly limited capacity.

The goal is to avoid the feel of a massive trade show where speakers, companies, and attendees pass by each other without truly connecting. Breaks between talks, meals, and informal conversations are treated as integral parts of the event.

This structure allows participants to follow up on discussions started during a presentation, pose direct questions to speakers, or network with other members of the French-speaking Bitcoin ecosystem.

This proximity between participants, speakers, and ecosystem leaders has been a defining feature of B-Only since its very first edition.

From theory to practice

This fourth edition will place a significant emphasis on workshops.

The objective is to enable participants to do more than just talk about Bitcoin—it's about experimenting with and manipulating specific concepts and tools.

Several formats are planned, covering a wide range of approaches, from deeply technical subjects to more accessible, participatory sessions.

Highlights include topics such as non-KYC Bitcoin purchases, learning Bitcoin through hands-on practice, and more advanced technical challenges.

This complementarity ensures that B-Only caters to both experienced participants and those looking to gradually deepen their understanding of Bitcoin.

An event rooted in Annecy

B-Only is a reflection of the year-round work conducted by AlpineChain to foster the Bitcoin ecosystem in the Annecy region.

The association regularly hosts meetups and workshops dedicated to Bitcoin and digital sovereignty.

They are also the driving force behind the Annecy Bitcoin Tour, a project designed to support local merchants wanting to accept Bitcoin and make those businesses easily identifiable to users.

The conference serves as the annual flagship gathering for this local community.

The choice of Annecy is also central to the event’s identity: B-Only seeks to combine high-quality content and networking with an alpine setting, all while remaining easily accessible from Lyon, Grenoble, Geneva, and the rest of French-speaking Switzerland.

Key players in the Bitcoin ecosystem

The 2026 edition is supported by several companies and organizations from the Bitcoin ecosystem, including Paymium, Bitstack, and Le Cercle du Coin.

The presence of Pierre Noizat, founder of Paymium and a historic figure in the French Bitcoin scene, is among the most anticipated contributions this year.

B-Only also welcomes profiles from diverse backgrounds: entrepreneurs, developers, authors, educators, local communities, and content creators.

This variety allows for a multifaceted examination of Bitcoin while remaining true to the event's guiding principle: Bitcoin only.

Bitcoin as culture

B-Only goes beyond technical or economic lectures.

An artistic dimension is woven into the event, with the confirmed presence of several artists linked to the Bitcoin world, including Lady Block Jane, Theorigon, Missatoshi, and Benjamin Locatelli.

This inclusion reflects the maturation of the Bitcoin ecosystem: communities, local projects, artistic creations, and a unique culture are flourishing around the protocol.
