The regulation of digital assets has taken a major strategic step forward in Europe with a key regulatory approval granted to French fintech Regular Finance. Previously registered under the national PSAN regime for basic custody and brokerage services, the Paris-based company has just obtained official status as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) issued by the AMF under the MiCA regulatory framework. This accreditation now allows the company to offer five specialized financial services, including digital asset portfolio management, while benefiting from the valuable European passport to expand its operations across the entire single market.

The institution's flagship offering centers on simplifying access to decentralized financial markets for both retail clients and businesses. Through a straightforward euro bank transfer, deposited funds are automatically converted into highly pegged stablecoins, such as USDC or EURC. This liquidity is then deployed across various DeFi protocols to generate a target annual yield between 5% and 5.80%. This model avoids all exposure to volatile cryptocurrencies by focusing exclusively on income generated from transaction fees and over-collateralized loans paid out on a daily basis.

To mitigate operational risk and ensure depositor protection, the platform applies a strict capital distribution strategy. Allocation is spread across 5 to 15 distinct liquidity pools, with an exposure cap set at 25% of the portfolio per protocol. Economically, the fintech foregoes fixed subscriptions, earning revenue on the spread between the gross market yield and the net distributed yield. For example, on an overall return of 7.50%, the company retains 2% and pays out 5.50% to the client, adjusting its margin to smooth returns. Funds remain accessible with no limits or fees, offering withdrawals within 48 hours.

This institutional approval underscores the growing maturity of hybrid solutions sitting at the intersection of traditional finance and decentralized finance. By bringing transparency and seamlessness to yield mechanisms that are typically complex, the fintech aims to become a leading player for European savers seeking returns on their cash reserves. The protective framework provided by the MiCA regulation delivers the legal certainty needed to reassure a demanding clientele, signaling the launch of a large-scale strategic expansion across the continent.
